My name is Sarah. I am a maker and accidental small business owner.
I make and sell handmade reusable beeswax food wraps, a natural food storage solution. I am passionate about doing our best to help reduce single-use plastics.
I took over this little slice of the Internet in 2013 as a place to share my memory keeping and craft projects. Since then, it’s grown with me through different life stages and is now home to Sweet Green Studios, my Passion Project. I'm happy to share our family's story as we strive to make a positive impact on this place we call home.

As of last week, I can say that I have officially completed the 100 Happy Days challenge! It took me a while to write this post because I wanted to take some time to process the end of this challenge and how I felt about it.

The countdown is officially on! I can’t even begin to express how excited Will and I are about the new little addition to our family, and I am so excited to introduce you to him here on Sweet Green Studios.

Will and I have been preparing to bring our little puppy home in two weeks, and getting the house ready has made it all seem real. This week was productive on the wedding, puppy, and work fronts, and we are so thrilled to have the opportunity to enjoy a nice long relaxing weekend together.

This is by far my most favourite quote. These past couple months I have been splitting my time between so many different things, that I feel like the time I have left to spend is not very much at all. From wedding planning, to taking extra courses, to work, and the gym, my days seem to be passing me by so quickly.

This week was so very exciting for so many different reasons. As we inch closer to the wedding, each RSVP that we receive makes the whole thing feel so much more real. As a result, we are starting to really buckle down with our to do list so that our guests don’t show up to an empty venue on the day!

As we inch closer to our special day, I feel as though our to-do list just keeps growing bigger. I always thought that the more you do, the less you will have on your list; but I have discovered that the opposite is true in the wonderful world of wedding planning.

Busy weeks are good weeks as long as they are productive, which is exactly what this week was. It was also a very fun week. Will and I celebrated the beginning of June, the 9th year anniversary of our gym Krudar Muay Thai, and spent some (much needed) quality time together.

My girls’ weekend in Buffalo could not have come at a better time. I’ve never been so grateful for such an amazing weekend than I was after my super busy week on Friday. I got to spend some quality time driving down to the states with my Mom and had countless laughs with my mom, aunt, sister and cousins throughout the entire weekend. I didn’t realize how much I missed spending time with just the 6 ladies until we were all together again.

What a productive week! As you may have noticed, we had a lot of changes around here. I am so thrilled to have made the change from Polkadot Pirates to Sweet Green Studios and can’t wait to see where this goes.

May is always a busy time. In my family there are birthdays galore, followed by Mother’s Day, and then even more birthdays. Added on to all of the festivities is the fact that this month, Will and I are entering the 3 month countdown to our wedding, which means some serious crunch time activities are happening!

The interesting thing about 100 days is how quickly they pass. When I signed up for this challenge, 100 days seemed like forever. But here we are at day 35, and I am still excited to be capturing great moments every day. This weekend was super busy with National Scrapbook Day, the MS Walk, and a surprise bridal shower that was thrown for me by my wonderful Auntie Karen.

I can’t believe how quickly these #100HappyDays are flying by! I am already at day 27 (as of yesterday), which means I have officially completed just over a quarter of the challenge.

Short work weeks really are a catch 22; it’s great that we get to enjoy a long weekend, but it means we have less time to get more things done. Luckily for me, after a short but productive week (thanks to my awesome to do list and some scrapbooking time at work), Will and I headed east to Ottawa.

This week was pretty wonderful. I spent a lot of time at work, but nothing can replace the feeling of a finished to do list and a job well done. I also had a wonderful bridal shower with family and friends and could not be more appreciative or feel more blessed to be surrounded by so many people who are supporting me and Will as we take this huge next step together.

This week in a meeting at work, the 100 Happy Days project was brought up. Obviously intrigued, I looked it up and thought it would be a great idea to try and keep up with.
